Javier was the lead guide, but we enjoyed socializing a bit with the bar tender Gaston, the Captain Javier, Security guards, Cesar and Vincente, the boat driver Rodsando, and the medic Dante. The only boat that is currently sailing down the Bolivian Mamoré River is the Reina de Enin, an air-conditioned, 38-passenger catamaran with 12 cabins and two outdoor dining areas. While you're in Ecuador, you might want to combine your cruise with a visit to the historical city of Quito or a trip through the Galapagos Islands. It has now been just as painstakingly restored to its former glory. Wish we had stayed on it for a full week instead of the short four days.
